The Star Sydney features two gaming floors, several bars and restaurants, two accommodation hotels, a world-renowned nightclub as well as the 2000 seat Sydney Lyric Theatre and the Star Events Centre. The multi-purpose Events Centre holds a variety of events ranging from concerts, speaking tours, conferences, exhibitions, corporate functions and meetings, gala dinners and charity events.
The high profile nature of The Star requires service delivery of the highest standards and ISEC provides a multi-faceted security operation encompassing 24-hour asset protection for car park, retail, hotels and precinct patrols. In addition to the protective security, event security and crowd control, we provide traffic controllers and RSA Marshalls. ISEC also provides ad hoc services that are often requested at short notice to assist with special situations or the need for back fill security.
The Hordern Pavilion is a high-profile convention, exhibition and entertainment centre and a Sydney icon. With a capacity of 5500, the Hordern Pavilion hosts 80+ events annually including concerts, exhibitions and trade shows, theme parties, dance parties, and gala dinners. Since we commenced providing security services to Playbill Venues, the operator of the Hordern Pavilion, in 2010, ISEC has secured well over 800 events at this venue.
The services ISEC provides at Hordern Pavilion are multi-faceted; in addition to static security and crowd control, ISEC provides a range of specialist security and event personnel. This includes mosh-pit barrier crews, ticketing staff, RSA Marshalls, covert security, and close personal protection operatives.
Examples of the well-known events we have secured include the Mardi Gras After Party, Dally M Awards, MasterChef Live, as well as numerous concerts by artists such as A$AP Rocky, Khalid, Billie Eilish, Smashing Pumpkins and Good Charlotte. We have provided mosh-pit barrier crews for regular events such as Parkway Drive and Megadeath and close personal protection operatives for international performers including George Michael, Keisha, and Kylie Minogue.
In addition to deploying guards, ISEC has worked in close co-operation with NSW Police to assist Playbill with the development, implementation and consistent application of its structured and stringent security and liquor licensing policies and procedures.
“ISEC have provided crowd management services for Playbill Venues at the Hordern Pavilion and Royal Hall of Industries for more than a decade. As venues that host extremely diverse event types and audiences, their customer service and managing of complex customer matters has proven to be an asset to our business.”

ISEC has been providing security services to Merivale venues since 2011 and our demonstrated ability to provide a large number of well-trained personnel and excellence in service delivery was rewarded in 2017 with the opportunity to secure the Ivy precinct as Merivale’s preferred security service provider.
The Ivy precinct is a multi-purpose facility that houses some of Sydney’s best restaurants, venue and event spaces. A flagship of the Merivale group, the precinct encompasses unique event areas such as the Ivy Ballroom, Ivy Sunroom and Ivy Penthouse along with high-end restaurants like Felix and Uccello. In addition, the Ivy precinct plays host to regular events such as RnB Fridays, Ministry of Sound and Marco Polo Pool Club and regularly holds other large events featuring both national and international headline acts.
“ISEC has been Merivale’s preferred supplier of security services for close to a decade. Throughout the years Tony and his team have provided an exceptional level of service. Their dedication, hard work and commitment to our customers has been an integral factor towards our successful working relationship.”
David Clifton, Group General Manager (Venues) – Merivale
SITG is Australia’s largest music festival recording over 40,000 attendees on event days. Held on North Byron Parklands, SITG also has over 18,000 campers who stay on-site over the duration of the festival. SITG showcases international acts such as Coldplay, Kanye West, Outkast, and The Strokes, as well as Australian artists like Powderfinger.
ISEC has provided security and security risk management services to the festival since 2010. ISEC is responsible for the security of the entire site (over 550-acres) for the duration of the whole event which can be up to 14 days including bump in and bump out days. On the three peak event days, ISEC deploys over 290 security personnel including security officers, security managers, security supervisors and control room operators.
Due to its size and complexity, this festival encompasses a large and diverse range of stakeholders including Event Managers & Promoters, NSW Police, Rural Fire Service and Ambulance NSW. Our capacity to provide a large number of well-trained personnel, our ability to work cohesively with multiple parties and our consistent excellence in service delivery have contributed to ISEC retaining this prestigious security contract and being SITG long-term security provider.
“ISEC has provided outstanding security services for over 10 years. Whether managing concerts or multiple stage festivals with unique programming challenges, the events industry requires a team of world-class professional and that is what ISEC is renowned for.”
