Q: You have been at ISEC for quite some time now, what do you think makes ISEC a great company to work for ?

A: It’s been an amazing journey over the last 18.5 years. What keeps me working here is the culture that we have. It’s not just a bunch of colleagues that work together, they are family. I have known most of the management team for more than 10 years and we have all worked together in various roles over the years.

Q: You have worked across a range of roles within the company including administration, events and now compliance. How do you think this has helped your understanding and experience within ISEC and the security industry?

A: I went from knowing nothing about security to understanding each role, what each role entails, how they fit in the bigger picture and learnt how critical each role is to ensuring the business is compliant within the security industry guidelines. It has also helped me appreciate the backend work and the effort that goes into planning an event as well as the final execution of the event.

Q: What are some accomplishments you have been a part of in the last few years with ISEC, is there any projects that you are particularly proud of?

A: Being part of the recruitment process for hotel quarantine during the pandemic. It was an amazing feeling being part of that project, especially with the working environment at the time.  There were so many people without work or income to support themselves or their families. It was a great pleasure to be able offer those the opportunity to work at such a difficult time.

Q: Which one of ISEC’s values of TEAMWORK, TRUST, PROFESSIONALISM, RELIABILITY and PASSION resonates to you the most and why?

A: The ISEC value that resonates with me is PASSION. I feel that everything throughout the business and my work is all done with passion. Anyone that knows me knows that I’m very a passionate person. Anything that I love or enjoy doing – it’s done whole heartedly & passionately.

Q: What is the best advice you have been given?

A: Over the years the best advice I have been given is “always lead by example”. Being in a senior management role is the perfect way to lead by example. This sets the pathway forward for people with worth ethic and expectations – especially when on the ground.
